Banyan Root Liquid Extract retains condensed tannins with quercetin-3-galactoside and bengalenoside from Ficus benghalensis aerial root. Aerial root is the part classical preparations specify and it carries a heavier tannin load than bark or leaf. Confirm aerial root on the CoA; bark is the cheaper substitute. Banyan Root Water-Soluble Extract — known as Bargad in Hindi, Ala in Tamil, and Peddamari in Telugu (Ficus benghalensis).

FAQs
What are the primary formulation applications of Banyan Root?
Most buyers use it in Ayurvedic liquid preparations and oral-care bases. As with any new water-soluble extract, pilot-test in your specific base before committing to a full production run.
Which carrier should I choose — water, propylene glycol or glycerin?
Water alone suits most aqueous formulations. Propylene glycol improves cold-stability and solvency in preserved systems; glycerin gives a milder, skin-friendlier carrier for leave-on formulations. PG and glycerin variants are offered at 500 g and 1 Kg, with PG also available at 5 Kg.
