Barley Grass Liquid Extract carries saponarin with lutonarin and leaf polyphenols from Hordeum vulgare aerial parts. Saponarin and lutonarin are flavone glucosides specific to the young leaf; grass cut after jointing carries measurably less of both. Confirm the harvest stage rather than relying on colour. Barley Grass Water-Soluble Extract — known as Jau in Hindi, Barliyarisi in Tamil, Barlibiyam in Telugu, and Jav/Satu in Marathi (Hordeum vulgare).

FAQs

What are the primary formulation applications of Barley Grass?
Most buyers use it in greens beverage bases, cosmetic water phases and liquid nutraceuticals. As with any new water-soluble extract, pilot-test in your specific base before committing to a full production run.

Which carrier should I choose — water, propylene glycol or glycerin?
Water alone suits most aqueous formulations. Propylene glycol improves cold-stability and solvency in preserved systems; glycerin gives a milder, skin-friendlier carrier for leave-on formulations. PG and glycerin variants are offered at 500 g and 1 Kg, with PG also available at 5 Kg.
