Betel Leaf Liquid Extract provides hydroxychavicol with eugenol and flavonoid glycosides from Piper betle leaf. Betel leaf is Piper betle and is unrelated to areca nut, which carries the regulatory burden the two are often confused over. Specify hydroxychavicol rather than total phenolics. Betel Leaf Water-Soluble Extract — known as Paan in Hindi, Vettilai in Tamil, Tamalapaku in Telugu, and Vettila in Malayalam (Piper betle).

FAQs
What are the primary formulation applications of Betel Leaf?
Most buyers use it in oral-care liquid bases, Ayurvedic preparations and traditional blends. As with any new water-soluble extract, pilot-test in your specific base before committing to a full production run.
Which carrier should I choose — water, propylene glycol or glycerin?
Water alone suits most aqueous formulations. Propylene glycol improves cold-stability and solvency in preserved systems; glycerin gives a milder, skin-friendlier carrier for leave-on formulations. PG and glycerin variants are offered at 500 g and 1 Kg, with PG also available at 5 Kg.
