Black Currant Liquid Extract delivers delphinidin- and cyanidin-3-glucoside anthocyanins with vitamin C from Ribes nigrum fruit. Blackcurrant is delphinidin-dominant where most berry extracts are cyanidin-dominant, and that difference is what eye-health specifications reference. Specify the anthocyanin profile, not just total anthocyanins. Specify potassium sorbate where ascorbic acid is retained; benzoate systems at low pH are not preferred alongside ascorbate.

FAQs
What are the primary formulation applications of Black Currant?
Most buyers use it in eye-health liquid formulations, beverage bases and natural-colour applications. As with any new water-soluble extract, pilot-test in your specific base before committing to a full production run.
Which carrier should I choose — water, propylene glycol or glycerin?
Water alone suits most aqueous formulations. Propylene glycol improves cold-stability and solvency in preserved systems; glycerin gives a milder, skin-friendlier carrier for leave-on formulations. PG and glycerin variants are offered at 500 g and 1 Kg, with PG also available at 5 Kg.
