Black Mustard Liquid Extract supplies sinigrin with sinapine and seed mucilage from Brassica nigra seed. Sinigrin is the stable glucosinolate precursor; allyl isothiocyanate forms only on myrosinase contact and is volatile, so the extract carries the precursor rather than the pungency. Specify sinigrin rather than isothiocyanate content.

FAQs
What are the primary formulation applications of Black Mustard?
Most buyers use it in glucosinolate-standardised liquid formulations and topical preparations. As with any new water-soluble extract, pilot-test in your specific base before committing to a full production run.
Which carrier should I choose — water, propylene glycol or glycerin?
Water alone suits most aqueous formulations. Propylene glycol improves cold-stability and solvency in preserved systems; glycerin gives a milder, skin-friendlier carrier for leave-on formulations. PG and glycerin variants are offered at 500 g and 1 Kg, with PG also available at 5 Kg.
