Chia Seed Liquid Extract concentrates mucilage polysaccharides with rosmarinic acid and phenolic acids from Salvia hispanica seed. The mucilage is the functional fraction in a liquid and drives viscosity; α-linolenic acid is lipid-bound and belongs to the seed oil. Ask for the swelling index rather than a fatty-acid figure.

FAQs
What are the primary formulation applications of Chia seed?
Most buyers use it in fibre liquid formulations, beverage bases and cosmetic water phases. As with any new water-soluble extract, pilot-test in your specific base before committing to a full production run.
Which carrier should I choose — water, propylene glycol or glycerin?
Water alone suits most aqueous formulations. Propylene glycol improves cold-stability and solvency in preserved systems; glycerin gives a milder, skin-friendlier carrier for leave-on formulations. PG and glycerin variants are offered at 500 g and 1 Kg, with PG also available at 5 Kg.
