Cumin Seed Liquid Extract retains luteolin and apigenin glycosides with phenolic acids from Cuminum cyminum seed. Cuminaldehyde is the marker of cumin oil and is an aldehyde with no site for glycosylation, so aqueous extraction recovers the flavonoid fraction instead. Do not carry cumin oil specifications across to this material. Cumin seed Water-Soluble Extract — known as Jeera in Hindi, Jeeragam in Tamil, Jeelakarra in Telugu, Jeerakam in Malayalam, Jire in Marathi, and Jira in Bengali (Cuminum cyminum).

FAQs
What are the primary formulation applications of Cumin seed?
Most buyers use it in digestive liquid formulations, seasoning premixes and Ayurvedic preparations. As with any new water-soluble extract, pilot-test in your specific base before committing to a full production run.
Which carrier should I choose — water, propylene glycol or glycerin?
Water alone suits most aqueous formulations. Propylene glycol improves cold-stability and solvency in preserved systems; glycerin gives a milder, skin-friendlier carrier for leave-on formulations. PG and glycerin variants are offered at 500 g and 1 Kg, with PG also available at 5 Kg.
