Haritaki Liquid Extract concentrates chebulagic acid with chebulinic acid and corilagin from Terminalia chebula fruit. Hydrolysable tannins are freely concentrated during aqueous extraction, which is why the triphala group performs well in liquid formats where lipophilic botanicals do not. Specify fruit pulp and confirm the seed was removed. Haritaki Water-Soluble Extract — known as Harad in Hindi, Kadukkai in Tamil, Karakkaya in Telugu, Kadukka in Malayalam, and Hirda in Marathi (Terminalia chebula).

FAQs

What are the primary formulation applications of Haritaki?
Most buyers use it in triphala liquid preparations, digestive formulations and oral-care bases. As with any new water-soluble extract, pilot-test in your specific base before committing to a full production run.

Which carrier should I choose — water, propylene glycol or glycerin?
Water alone suits most aqueous formulations. Propylene glycol improves cold-stability and solvency in preserved systems; glycerin gives a milder, skin-friendlier carrier for leave-on formulations. PG and glycerin variants are offered at 500 g and 1 Kg, with PG also available at 5 Kg.
