Hing Liquid Extract supplies ferulic acid esters with sulfur-bearing disulfides and umbelliferone from Ferula foetida oleo-gum resin. Commercial hing is almost always compounded with wheat or rice flour at 30 to 70 percent — pure resin is a different and far stronger material. Confirm the resin percentage and the diluent used. Hing Water-Soluble Extract — known as Kaayam in Malayalam (Ferula foetida).
