Orris Root Liquid Extract retains iridin with irigenin and tectoridin from Iris rhizome. The isoflavone glycosides are enriched in the water-derived extract; the irones that give orris its violet note develop over years of drying and belong to the volatile fraction. Do not specify this as an aroma source in place of orris butter.

FAQs
What are the primary formulation applications of Iris Root?
Most buyers use it in cosmetic water phases and traditional preparations. As with any new water-soluble extract, pilot-test in your specific base before committing to a full production run.
Which carrier should I choose — water, propylene glycol or glycerin?
Water alone suits most aqueous formulations. Propylene glycol improves cold-stability and solvency in preserved systems; glycerin gives a milder, skin-friendlier carrier for leave-on formulations. PG and glycerin variants are offered at 500 g and 1 Kg, with PG also available at 5 Kg.
