Karanja Liquid Extract retains karanjin with pongamol and seed polysaccharides from Pongamia pinnata seed. Karanjin and pongamol are furanoflavonoids belonging largely to the seed oil, so a water-derived extract carries the polar fraction at much lower levels. Confirm the karanjin figure and the extraction basis behind it. Karanja Water-Soluble Extract — known as Karanj in Hindi, Pungai in Tamil, Kanuga (Ganuga) in Telugu, Pungu in Malayalam, Karanja in Marathi, and Karanja in Bengali (Pongamia pinnata).

FAQs

What are the primary formulation applications of Karanja?
Most buyers use it in topical water phases and traditional preparations. As with any new water-soluble extract, pilot-test in your specific base before committing to a full production run.

Which carrier should I choose — water, propylene glycol or glycerin?
Water alone suits most aqueous formulations. Propylene glycol improves cold-stability and solvency in preserved systems; glycerin gives a milder, skin-friendlier carrier for leave-on formulations. PG and glycerin variants are offered at 500 g and 1 Kg, with PG also available at 5 Kg.
