Kantakari Liquid Extract supplies solasodine glycosides with solasonine and apigenin glycosides from Solanum xanthocarpum. The glycoalkaloids are the characteristic constituents and they concentrate directly during aqueous extraction, which is why the assay matters more than the plant part here. Require a glycoalkaloid assay per lot. Kantakari Water-Soluble Extract — known as Kateri (Bhatkataiya) in Hindi, Kandankattiri in Tamil, Nelamullaku in Telugu, Ringani (Bhui Ringani) in Marathi, and Kantakari in Bengali (Solanum xanthocarpum).

FAQs
What are the primary formulation applications of Kantakari?
Most buyers use it in respiratory-category Ayurvedic liquid preparations. As with any new water-soluble extract, pilot-test in your specific base before committing to a full production run.
Which carrier should I choose — water, propylene glycol or glycerin?
Water alone suits most aqueous formulations. Propylene glycol improves cold-stability and solvency in preserved systems; glycerin gives a milder, skin-friendlier carrier for leave-on formulations. PG and glycerin variants are offered at 500 g and 1 Kg, with PG also available at 5 Kg.
