Lettuce Liquid Extract delivers quercetin glycosides with chicoric acid and lactucin from Lactuca sativa leaf. Lactucin and the sesquiterpene lactones give the characteristic bitterness and occur at far higher levels in Lactuca virosa, the wild lettuce of traditional practice. Specify the species; sativa and virosa are not interchangeable.

FAQs
What are the primary formulation applications of Lettuce?
Most buyers use it in calm-category liquid formulations and cosmetic water phases. As with any new water-soluble extract, pilot-test in your specific base before committing to a full production run.
Which carrier should I choose — water, propylene glycol or glycerin?
Water alone suits most aqueous formulations. Propylene glycol improves cold-stability and solvency in preserved systems; glycerin gives a milder, skin-friendlier carrier for leave-on formulations. PG and glycerin variants are offered at 500 g and 1 Kg, with PG also available at 5 Kg.
