Nagkesar Liquid Extract provides xanthones with flavonoid glycosides and phenolic acids from Ochrocarpus longifolius. Two unrelated plants are traded as nagkesar — Ochrocarpus longifolius and Mesua ferrea — and they carry different xanthone and phenolic profiles. Specify the binomial; the Sanskrit name alone is not sufficient. Nagkesar Water-Soluble Extract — known as Nagkesar in Hindi, Nagakesaramu in Telugu, Nagachampakam in Malayalam, Nagchafa (Nagkeshar) in Marathi, and Nageshwar (Nagkeshar) in Bengali (Ochrocarpus longifolius).

FAQs
What are the primary formulation applications of Nagkesar?
Most buyers use it in Ayurvedic liquid preparations and traditional formulations. As with any new water-soluble extract, pilot-test in your specific base before committing to a full production run.
Which carrier should I choose — water, propylene glycol or glycerin?
Water alone suits most aqueous formulations. Propylene glycol improves cold-stability and solvency in preserved systems; glycerin gives a milder, skin-friendlier carrier for leave-on formulations. PG and glycerin variants are offered at 500 g and 1 Kg, with PG also available at 5 Kg.
