Onion Liquid Extract delivers quercetin-4'-glucoside with thiosulfinates and fructans from Allium cepa bulb. The 4'-glucoside is the water-soluble form and sits largely in the outer papery skin, so skin-inclusive material assays substantially higher than peeled bulb. Ask whether the skin was included and specify a quercetin figure. Onion Water-Soluble Extract — known as Pyaz (Kanda) in Hindi, Vengayam in Tamil, Ullipaya (also Nirulli) in Telugu, Ulli in Malayalam, Kanda in Marathi, and Piyaj in Bengali (Allium cepa).

FAQs

What are the primary formulation applications of Onion?
Most buyers use it in antioxidant liquid formulations and savoury premixes. As with any new water-soluble extract, pilot-test in your specific base before committing to a full production run.

Which carrier should I choose — water, propylene glycol or glycerin?
Water alone suits most aqueous formulations. Propylene glycol improves cold-stability and solvency in preserved systems; glycerin gives a milder, skin-friendlier carrier for leave-on formulations. PG and glycerin variants are offered at 500 g and 1 Kg, with PG also available at 5 Kg.
