Pipali Liquid Extract provides flavonoid glycosides with phenolic acids and fruit polysaccharides from Piper longum. Piperine and piperlongumine are the alkamides long pepper is known for, but they are amides with no site for glycosylation and belong to the oleoresin fraction. Do not carry an oleoresin piperine figure across to this material. Pipali Fruit Water-Soluble Extract — known as Pipli in Hindi, Thippili in Tamil, Pippallu in Telugu, Thippali in Malayalam, Pimpli in Marathi, and Pipul in Bengali (Piper longum).

FAQs

What are the primary formulation applications of Pipali Fruit?
Most buyers use it in digestive Ayurvedic liquid preparations and trikatu bases. As with any new water-soluble extract, pilot-test in your specific base before committing to a full production run.

Which carrier should I choose — water, propylene glycol or glycerin?
Water alone suits most aqueous formulations. Propylene glycol improves cold-stability and solvency in preserved systems; glycerin gives a milder, skin-friendlier carrier for leave-on formulations. PG and glycerin variants are offered at 500 g and 1 Kg, with PG also available at 5 Kg.
