Yarrow Liquid Extract retains apigenin and luteolin glycosides with chlorogenic acid from Achillea millefolium flowering tops. Achillicin and the sesquiterpene lactones give yarrow its bitterness and are only partly recovered by aqueous extraction. Sesquiterpene lactones are recognised skin sensitisers; assess topical inclusion carefully.

FAQs
What are the primary formulation applications of Yarrow?
Most buyers use it in digestive liquid formulations and cosmetic water phases. As with any new water-soluble extract, pilot-test in your specific base before committing to a full production run.
Which carrier should I choose — water, propylene glycol or glycerin?
Water alone suits most aqueous formulations. Propylene glycol improves cold-stability and solvency in preserved systems; glycerin gives a milder, skin-friendlier carrier for leave-on formulations. PG and glycerin variants are offered at 500 g and 1 Kg, with PG also available at 5 Kg.
